This fixture has always been eventful throughout the seasons and this one was no different, also it is often played out in the rain, again this was the case. And plenty of goals are another thing that are never far away in this fixture. After a good start kicking down hill with chance after chance falling to Guildford we unfortunately found ourselves 3-0 down. The very muddy pitch was terrible for our style of passing football but suited Cambo's long ball style, added to that we were blessed with a Clattenburg style ref who was only interested in being the star of the show giving out card after card to both teams. At halftime we had got the score back to 3-1 but none of us were expecting a second half to be so eventful. City started the second half as we had started the first and Dan Stewart was soon to be one on one with the keeper but didn't beat him, we continued pressing before the ref got in the the act with his cardfest sending off two Cambo men and one of ours and booking a number of others. The Guildford players and fans never gave up and not long after getting one goal back Dan Stewart levelled it 3 all. We had our chances to win the game with the ball cleared off the line but we were happy with the moral victory and a 3-3 draw. As for the ref there is always a pantomime for him.
