I don't know if anybody still reads this board (apart from me and Sir Lagerlot) but we will be running a coach to this game, leaving Spectrum at 11.30 and returning from Bognor at 6.00pm. Cost will be £10.00 and £7.00. Please ring Eddie on 07740104100 to book a place.

I do but find that twitter and facebook seem to have more stuff on it these days. I prefer the forum but obviously others don't. By the way I am going on the coach

Oh dear this game gives me great split loyalties.
Way back on 15 November 1957 City first introduced me to semi-professional football. I went to Joseph's Road and watched the FA Cup 1st Round Proper tie against Yeovil Town. This ended in a 2-2 draw with Yeovil Town taking the replay 1-0. My first game and t got me hooked from then onwards.
I had a couple of seasons watching City and then along came the lure of Pompey for some considerable time until I became disillusioned and then I came along to Bognor Regis Town.
Wow, the first game was against Walthamstow Avenue and ended 8-1 to Bognor. Again I was hooked for around the next 22 years and then I retired and went and watched more local football closer to my doorstep. Sadly it doesn't happen much for me these days.
This game has fired me up I might even get down to the Lane and see some of the old faces. You'll recognise me; that old bloke with a big boot on both goal lines.
In all honesty nothing would please me more than City to manage a draw and then the Rocks visit the Spectrum for a replay and who knows! It's a funny old game.
Let's make it a great day all round.

That's an interesting read... All apart from the bit about the 'lure of Pompey' which simply doesn't compute in my head!

I would like think that what I've got to say is a confidence booster. Several years back Cove travelled down to Nyewood Lane in the FA Cup and came away with an either 2-1 or 2-0 victory. Unfortunately I couldn't find details of it on the web but it's there somewhere. I'm thinking it was maybe between 15-20 years back!

Shottermiller, if you get down there please come and say hello to the Sweeney. Will do Eddie; I spoke to Terry Whitehead last evening and said I hoped to see him.

Regan, will we be seeing you tomorrow? I suppose this question has already been answered but I should add that I was planning to come until I was summoned to a family event!

It wasn't to be.
Feedback from my friends down at Bognor is that City Fans can hold their heads up high and be proud of their team. On another day and with the rub of the green a closer result and maybe different scoreline could well have been on the cards.

Gutted about the result, they were much the better side but our goal was good. Still that's £3k lost Nuff said

Still that's £3k lost Nuff said Bognor are a good side two levels above us so I doubt if anyone at the club was really expecting the £3,000 prize money. So I am sure it can only be looked at as £3k not gained on the day. But by the sound of it everyone enjoyed themselves by the seaside!!
