To be fair, not the most entertaining game we've ever played.... in the first half we were all over the shop. Both teams a little subdued, maybe it was the freezing weather who knows, but the game was played in a very good manner - not a yellow card nor verbals.

2nd half and things got better but Cove took the lead. Came down the center, marshalled out to the right by both of our center-backs pushing out, but the shot cut back just inside the far upright.

City woke up to this and tried harder, culminating in some good battling down the left by Michael Cunningham, played in Mark Claydon into the box who was then turned over like an American Footballer. Damien Arthur stepped up to equalise from the spot.

Both teams went looking for the win but I'd say City were the more dominant in this part of the game, but the ref blew up right on time for deservedly honours even. 1-1.

Must also make mention of goal keeper Ben Brown, making his debut tonight in place of stalwart Ali McQueen, who did an excellent job.

Jack Rutterford also made a good debut tonight and did well on the wing, substituted mid 2nd half for Jack Holloway.

The Youth take on league leaders Camberley Town at home next week, Weds 17th, 7:45 k.o.
