City Youth battled out a result tonight to win their first home game of the season.
0-0 at H/T, but goals from Dan Hunt (70 - following up on his saved Penalty) and Sean Grogan-Edwards (84 - burst from midfield and slotted home tho' under pressure) took us 2-0 up.
Lingfield replied 2 minutes later through Lance Lord George (86 - great movement down the right and rifled home across goal) and looked to equalise only minutes later had it not been fine work from Ali McQueen between the sticks and a goal-line clearance from Sean Carroway.
City are home again for the 2nd Round, to either East Grinstead or Mole Valley Predators; date TBA.
Well done lads, your hard work paid off.
