In Vidprinter styli (always wanted to try this....) :

K.O. 7:30 p.m. at Chertsey Town (CT)

7:39
City corner, cleared, CT fly up the other end, shoot, great save from Ali Butcher.

7:42
GOAL - CT corner, bounces through the pack across to the far post to be slammed into the roof of the net.
Chertsey Town 1 - 0 Guildford City

7:50
GOAL - CT free kick in the midfield, played on the ground, threaded passes straight down the middle into the City box for a final chip over our diving keeper.
Chertsey Town 2 - 0 Guildford City

7:54
City woken up respond with a period of pressure. Damien Arthur cracks in a shot on the end of some strung together passing, followed by a City corner but it's to no avail.

8:05
Another rifled CT shot stopped by Ali McQueen between the Guildford sticks

8:07
Big Shout by City for a Penalty waved away after Damien Arthur is slotted through, rounds the outcoming keeper and shoots but a CT defender has got back and clears off the line - but what part of his body made the initial contact? A debateable decision - where's the big screen video replay?

8:10
GOAL - And it's been coming. This time City string together the passes down the middle, swinging slightly right for Damien Arthur to shoot into bottom left corner from the edge of the area.
Chertsey Town 2 - 1 Guildford City

8:15
Chertsey reply, causing McQueen to shot stop once more.

H/T Chertsey Town 2 - 1 Guildford City

8:31
Restart

8:37
GOAL - Wakey wakey City! Long ball from right midfield to left of goal, latched onto by onrushing CT midfielder who, not shut down, had time to compose and chip it in.
Chertsey Town 3 - 1 Guildford City

8:38
"Shoot!" they encouraged, and so he did. Jack Holloway lets loose a 25-or-so yard blast from central midfield that was destined to tuck under the crossbar - outstretched CT Keeper tips over for a corner (cleared).

8:45
City Sub: Ben Sargeant replaced by Dan Hunt, making his first competitive appearance since breaking his leg. (tactical)

8:54
City Sub: Jack Holloway replaced by Conor Harlowe (injury)

8:57
GOAL - CT pressure pays dividends as the City goal keeper is forced to come wide left but the ball is squared and knocked home centre of goal. Poor poor defending.
Chertsey Town 4 - 1 Guildford City

9:01
GOAL - What's going on? CT come down through the middle once more with some nice combination work and fire home.
Chertsey Town 5 - 1 Guildford City

9:03
GOAL - City claw one back. Danny Hunt's free kick from wide left floats into the area for a bit of ariel ping pong but Matt Farminer get's the final nod to place it home.
Chertsey Town 5 - 2 Guildford City

9:12
GOAL - since conceeding CT have been tearing into City as they are still bouyed up by the two they recently scored. So it's no surprise that a CT corner leads to some more ping pong in the area, but this time it's finished with a smashed ball home. What a shame for our lads.
Chertsey Town 6 - 2 Guildford City

9:15 F/T

Squad: McQueen, Evans, Whittaker, Farminer, Smith, Holloway (64 Harlowe), Howard, Campbell, Sargeant (59 Hunt), Grogan-Edwards, Arthur

Subs: Hunt, Harlowe, Nevitt, Sumner

Who are the players to watch coming through in the youth side?

Obviously I know about my little brother and Dan Hunt (good to see him back) and the goalkeeper from the match reports seems like he has some talent.

Hard one to answer that Matty, 'cos no doubt every player would like to see their name dropped! :) and I don't know all the lads that well yet. Can't say we've exactly been able to put out our first choice 11 yet what with injuries and holiday, so we've got that to look forward to yet.

But yeah, the goalie for one has been doing very well.
